In Defense of Empirical Science
Evolution is the faith-based dogma of humanism. It has no solid basis in empirical science. At the very best, Darwinian evolution can be considered nothing more than a poorly supported hypothesis. Some well-known evolutionists, with academic credentials, have stated that when you see design you should think evolution. This is the dogmatism against which we struggle. (Click here to read humanists manifestoes I and II)
The general public and our children, in particular, need to know about the scientific evidence that so strongly supports the concept of intelligent design as the causation of the diversity of life as we know it on Earth. Your help is needed to keep this web site in operation. Tax deductible donations can be made directly to the Discovery Institute by clicking on the Mailing List and Donations button.
Every American who believes in fair play, truth in science, and the proper, logical education of our children needs to educate himself or herself and join the dispute that currently exists in our society regarding our origin. Are we the result of chance or are we the result of design? Please help in any way you can, with what ever amount you can afford to present the empirically derived information that supports the intelligent design hypothesis.
If you are able to afford a larger contribution, please join the Discovery Society: Members of the discovery society support the promotion of science by pledging $300, $500 per couple, per year (tax deductible) for basic research, seminars, articles, and the general dissemination of information regarding intelligent design as the causation of life's diversity. Special seminars and considerations are available to members.
The Discovery Society is a group of individuals who come together to support the work - and disseminate the message - of Discovery Institute's Center for Science and Culture. As a Discovery Society member you will be supporting cutting-edge research that challenges Darwinian evolution and validates the intelligent design of life and the universe. Your membership will also help us promote a more balanced science education policy and powerful new videos and curricular materials.
The Society will provide you with resources and learning opportunities that will equip you to spread the word.
As a member of the Society you will be asked to make an annual contribution of $300 or more. New Society members will receive a free DVD or video, plus additional materials to help inform you, your friends and others.
Society members will receive:
- An invitation to an annual Society conference with Fellows of The Center for Science and Culture
- Subscription to Nota Bene, our monthly e-newsletter
- Discounts on all Center for Science and Culture books and videos
- Flash news updates on new developments, upcoming conferences, new scientific books and papers and education policies, etc.
- A free book, video or DVD
Or join the Discovery Institute: Support the same goals as members of the Discovery Society; but without the seminars and privileges; donation $50.
Or donate to the Discovery Institute: You can rectify the false dogmatic teaching of Darwinism and macroevolution as facts, by supporting the work of the Discovery Institute in its promotion of intelligent design as the explanation for life's diversity.
Expand Your Understanding: of science and the argument between intelligent design and macroeveolution, in particular. References for intelligent design, evolution, and general science are provided for your convenience; click on the appropriate button from the list at the top right-side of this page.

Scientists Working in the Fields of Applied Sciences
- There are millions of us working in the applied sciences that are very well aware that the concept of Macroevolution is contrary to empirical science. We all know that Microevolution is a fact; but, Macroevolution is only a hypothesis. We also know that macroevolution is not microevolution extrapolated. If you are a PhD scientist with academic credentials, please click here and add your name to the growing list of professionals who are unable to support the concept of Macroevolution. There is a scientific dissent from Darwinism. It deserves to be heard:
- Since Discovery Institute launched this list in 2001 over 600 scientists have courageously stepped forward to sign their names. The list is growing and includes scientists from the US National Academy of Sciences, Russian, Hungarian and Czech National Academies, as well as from universities such as Yale, Princeton, Stanford, MIT, UC Berkeley, UCLA, and others.
- A Scientific Dissent From Darwinism
"We are skeptical of claims for the ability of random mutation and natural selection to account for the complexity of life. Careful examination of the evidence for Darwinian theory should be encouraged."

Physicians and Surgeons for Scientific Integrity
(www.doctorsdoubtingdarwin.org)
If you are a physician who is unable to support the concept of Macroevolution, please click here and add your name to the list of Physicians and Surgeons for Scientific Integrity. You will be adding your name to the following statement:
As medical doctors we are skeptical of the claims for the ability of random mutation and natural selection to account for the origination and complexity of life and we therefore dissent from Darwinian macroevolution as a viable theory. This does not imply the endorsement of any alternative theory.
